Dare-To-Care

Ron Hennig, DARE-TO-CARE Program Director
Telephone Number = (502) 494-4604

Hours of operation:
Emergency food   – Every Friday - 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Government food --  2nd Friday each month   8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Food is received from the Dare to Care warehouse on the first Tuesday of each month at 9 a.m. We receive approximately 7000 pounds (seven pallets) of food each month that has to be placed on the shelves.

Boxes are donated by James Brands Distillery in Clermont, Ky and Whatever It Takes on Blue Lick Road.

The Government food (USDA Commodity) is placed into 150 boxes for distribution, usually on the Wednesday prior to the 2nd Friday.

On the Government distribution day we have about twelve (12) volunteers who register the applicants and take food to the client’s car. We distribute 150+ boxes each month on this day.

The Emergency food is placed in the boxes each Wednesday and distributed on Friday. Three volunteers are used. Normally, we distribute food to 60 applicants.

Each box has a Church bulletin and a Gospel tract. We try to witness to each client and invite everyone to our Church services.

We would like to have individuals who would be willing to place his/her name and phone number on a list to be called upon as needed when one of the volunteers need to be off on the distribution day and/or to assist us on the day we restock the shelves (1st Tuesday of the month).

We will train you in all areas. For more information call Ron Hennig, Program Director, at 494-4604.
