Discipleship

Our mission is to know Jesus, to become more like Him, and to make Him known in our community and beyond. We exist to go and make disciples as He commanded us to do (Matthew 28:18-20).

WITH AN OPEN HEART (Mark 12:29-31)

It is all about proper relationships. We believe it is important to CONNECT together in vital relationship with God, other believers, the church, and our family. We offer opportunities to connect in worship, prayer, and fellowship in our everyday lives. It is our priority to build positive, long-lasting relationships with people at work, in the school and community, and at home.

IN BODY, MIND & SPIRIT (Romans 12:12)

The Bible is the Word of God - inerrant and infallible. At Little Flock, we desire to GROW by learning and obeying the Word and understanding how it makes a daily difference in our lives. Gaining knowledge is vital, but we need more than knowledge. True discipleship means discovering something fresh and inspiring in a passage we have read hundreds of times—and acting to apply it. It is a day by day challenge to be transformed, as the Spirit of God illuminates the treasure that is found within the pages of the Bible and helps us to live it out for the glory of God.

WITH WILLING HANDS (1 Peter 4:10-11)

Jesus said those who would be greatest among us are those who are willing to serve others. Our church is full of ministry and service opportunities including providing food to those in need at our Dare to Care Food Pantry, Greeting people on Sunday mornings, teaching a Sunday School class, loving children in the nursery and more. We believe we should work together using the gifts God has given each of us to serve others.

WITH READY FEET (Matthew 28:19-20)

We encourage believers to GO outside the walls of the church building, into our community and world. Some may GO on a foreign mission trip or participate in after-school tutoring a child. When we GO, we will develop relationships with unbelievers and share our faith when we have the opportunity to talk about spiritual matters. Experience first hand God’s work in the lives of others by realizing we are one instrument He is using to reach those who do not know Him.

Our discipleship process at Little Flock includes Sunday School and the Discipleship Academy, and offers each person an opportunity to join God in this exciting adventure. Would you prayerfully join us on our journey?
